Welcome to Bray Methodist Church Website!
Bray Methodist Church is made up of a warm, friendly bunch of people of all ages coming from various places and backgrounds. We meet together to worship God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - and to get to know Him better. Doing so motivates and strengthens us to become a living, growing Christ-centred congregation serving our community and neighbourhood.
On a Sunday morning our praise draws from a range of contemporary worship songs to the great historic hymns of faith. We spend some time praying, remembering to pray for people in need either close to home, in Ireland or anywhere worldwide. We read a couple of passages from the Bible and, before they go out to Sunday School, the children hear a story. The talk for the day aims at illuminating a passage from the Bible or giving biblical teaching on a relevant current topic. On the first Sunday of the month we celebrate Holy Communion. Everyone who wants to love and follow Jesus, no matter what their religious background, is invited. At the end of the service everyone goes and has a cup of tea or coffee – but if you don’t want to, no problem.
We believe that living close to God is not just a ticket to heaven. It enables us to live life to the fullest, to become the people we were created to be.
Whether you’ve been to church before or never in your life, please do visit us for a while and check us out. You will be very welcome: just come as you are. And if you’ve any questions, please contact us.
May God bless you richly,
Clodagh Yambasu, married to Sahr, parents of Abbie, Fayia and Sahr.
